Thomas N. Tavantzis, Ed.D.

An organizational and leadership psychologist, Tom has over 25 years of experience as a consultant and coach. He has worked with leaders and teams in global pharmaceutical energy, banking and manufacturing industries, with federal and local government agencies and with hundreds of individuals on a one-to-one basis.
Since 1996 he has been Director of the Organizational Psychology and Leadership program at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He is the author of numerous articles on leadership, assessment and team development. His latest book was "Don't Waste Your Talent," (2005, 2nd Ed.) He founded IMD in 1986.
Tom received his B.A. from Pierce-Deree College in Athens, Greece, an M.A. from Ball State University (European Division) and an Ed.D. in counseling psychology from SUNY at Albany, N.Y.
Martha T. Tavantzis

Martha Taylor Tavantzis, IMD's co-founder, has over 25 years of experience facilitating positive change and development of human potential in people, families, groups and organizations.
She has been trained by outstanding leaders in the fields of family therapy, group therapy and couples therapy. She also has extensive experience in marketing and public relations and has held management positions for companies including the largest for-profit health provider in the nation.
Martha's guiding philosophy and talents lie with identifying the unique strengths and abilities of individuals, expanding their emotional intelligence quotient to allow for maximum growth and productivity in the work place. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, getting her Master's Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. She holds an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York, in Albany.
